Pristina, December 16, 2022.

Following the official visit to Pristina, the delegation of the Council of Albanian Ambassadors (KASH) was received in a special working meeting by the President of the Republic of Kosovo, H.E. Mrs. Vjosa Osmani Sadriu.

During this meeting, opinions and evaluations were exchanged regarding the latest developments in Kosovo and in the region, as well as very valuable suggestions for the coordination of the efforts and initiatives, in order to resolve the situation created in the north of Kosovo, as well as of advancing the fulfillment of the European integration objectives of our countries.

The Council of Albanian Ambassadors values the democratic credentials of the Republic of Kosovo, as an example for the entire region. In this context, Kosovo’s application for membership in the European Union was evaluated as a historic well justified and fully supported by the achievements of the required European standards by the Republic of Kosovo.

The members of KASH and President Osmani emphasized the importance of focusing all efforts towards the Kosovo-Serbia negotiations, mediated by the EU and the United States of America, despite the efforts of Belgrade, also through its tools in the north of Kosovo, to artificially escalated the tensions, in order to block the negotiations for the normalization and mutual recognition of the two countries, which would serve to further strengthen the peace, security and economic development of the entire region.

The Council of Albanian Ambassadors believes that the unification of the Albanian political factor and the overcoming of political divisions to cope with the situation created with Serbia, are of fundamental national importance.

President Vjosa Osmani said that she follows with the greatest attention our activity and appreciated the role of the
Council of Albanian Ambassadors in these delicate moments for Kosovo. She also asked for an even greater commitment to help with our experience and contacts, but also with geopolitical assessments, in support of Kosovo and its institutions.
